UAE Indian Mission Launches Tech-Driven Direct Booking for Passports and Visas

Indian diplomatic missions in the United Arab Emirates have rolled out a new online appointment system designed to streamline passport, visa, and attestation services. This initiative allows applicants to schedule appointments through an official online portal without incurring any booking fees, marking a significant step towards enhancing service efficiency and security.

Both the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai have begun directly managing these consular services from their respective offices. This change aims to simplify the application process, boost operational efficiency, and eliminate unauthorized service charges that applicants might previously have encountered.

Officials have emphasized that the official online portal is the sole platform for booking appointments for the aforementioned services. They strongly advise against paying any third-party individuals, agencies, or intermediaries that claim to facilitate appointment bookings or offer expedited services on behalf of the Indian missions.

Furthermore, the missions have issued warnings against trusting any organization or representative alleging official authorization to provide appointment services. Those who suspect they have been deceived, overcharged, or misrepresented are encouraged to report such incidents using the official contact channels of the Embassy or Consulate.

Indian nationals residing in the UAE, as well as travelers, are urged to rely solely on official communications and verified platforms for all information regarding consular services. This guidance is intended to help them avoid fraudulent activities and unnecessary charges.
