In a significant meeting held in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, the Ruler of Fujairah, to reiterate the nation’s dedication to its citizens and to advancing national progress. This dialogue underscored the UAE’s commitment to placing Emirati citizens at the core of the country’s developmental strategy, which is essential for realizing the UAE’s long-term goals. Both leaders also expressed hopes for sustained security, prosperity, and growth within the United Arab Emirates.
The session, attended by several high-ranking officials, included Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. Joining them were Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Sheikh Dr Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, among others. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, accompanied Sheikh Hamad during the discussions.
This meeting is part of the UAE leadership’s ongoing efforts to regularly consult and review national priorities, aiming to bolster cooperation among the emirates and enhance the quality of life for all citizens and residents. Such consultations are crucial for aligning the nation’s strategic objectives and ensuring cohesive governance across different regions.
President Sheikh Mohamed’s engagement with Fujairah’s leadership follows his visit to the emirate in April, where he and Sheikh Hamad assessed development projects at Fujairah Port. The visit focused on evaluating the operational improvements and ongoing initiatives at this key maritime gateway, which is vital for the UAE’s economic and strategic interests.
