The United Arab Emirates is bracing for a period of hotter weather and increased humidity during the Eid Al Adha holiday, as projected by the National Center of Meteorology. The forecast indicates that the country will experience generally fair to partly cloudy skies throughout the holiday week, with temperatures gradually climbing as the summer season approaches.

On Sunday, there is an anticipated slight dip in temperatures, potentially accompanied by fog or mist in some western and coastal areas during the nighttime and early morning hours. Despite this brief respite, hotter conditions are expected to return starting Monday, which coincides with the beginning of the Eid break for government workers.

During the holiday period, temperatures are projected to soar to around 43°C in Al Ain and 41°C in Fujairah. Occasionally, light to moderate winds could reach speeds up to 35 km/h. Meanwhile, humidity levels are likely to rise during the night and early mornings, particularly affecting coastal regions. Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are anticipated to stay calm.

This rise in temperatures signals a gradual shift into the UAE’s summer season following a relatively mild spring. In recent weeks, several areas have already experienced temperatures surpassing 40°C. The astronomical onset of summer in the northern hemisphere will officially occur on June 21.
