The United Arab Emirates is bracing for a spell of extreme summer heat, with meteorologists forecasting temperatures to soar up to 48°C in inland regions. The National Centre of Meteorology has outlined stable weather conditions throughout the country, characterized by predominantly clear skies and gentle to moderate winds, with minimal chances of significant weather disturbances.

On Friday, forecasters predict inland temperatures to fluctuate between 44°C and 48°C, whereas coastal and island areas may experience highs from 36°C to 43°C. In contrast, the mountainous regions are expected to see cooler temperatures ranging from 32°C to 39°C. Winds are anticipated to blow from the southwest to northwest at speeds of 10 to 20kph, occasionally reaching 30kph, while sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to remain calm.

This prevailing hot and clear weather pattern is likely to persist through the weekend. On Saturday morning, low clouds could form over parts of the eastern coast, and wind speeds might intensify, reaching up to 40kph. A slight dip in temperatures is expected by Sunday as northwesterly winds gain momentum, potentially causing rough conditions in the Arabian Gulf, though the Sea of Oman is expected to stay slight to moderate.

As the week progresses into Monday and Tuesday, the weather is projected to remain consistent with fair skies and occasional morning clouds along the eastern coast. Periods of brisk winds are forecast, and sea conditions are expected to gradually settle early in the week.

Meteorologists describe this period as typical early-summer weather, marked by extremely hot daytime temperatures, clear skies, and generally stable atmospheric conditions across the UAE.
